Continuing my posts on my son’s ACL journey, we’ve stumbled upon a silver lining. His injury paused his high-calorie-burning routine, finally giving him a chance to gain the weight he’s always wanted for sports. The trade-off? A teenage appetite that’s wreaking havoc on our grocery budget—and his digestion. Our advice? Slow down, make smart food choices, and know your limits.
As a business owner, this reminds me of a key lesson: “You’re more likely to die of indigestion than starvation.” A few years ago, when our dental consulting business began thriving, opportunities outside our core expertise started pouring in. They were exciting, but also distracting. Two years later, none of those ventures stuck, while our core business remained our steady growth engine.
