Jared and I tend to keep our heads down and grind — building a dental-focused accounting firm we’re proud of. But that focus sometimes means we overlook big milestones.
A few months ago, on a morning walk, I said, “You know May 1st is our ten-year anniversary, right? Should we do something?” Looking back, that’s a ridiculous question. Any business that makes it ten years should celebrate.
We’re not the party-throwing types, but we knew we had to mark the occasion. Our answer was simple: skip the big event, give our team a bonus, fly everyone in, and spend two days on deep training and team building.
The feedback was incredible.
We’ve got serious momentum — and we’re hiring faster than ever. That made it clear: we need to train fast and train well. So this gathering wasn’t just a celebration — it kicked off our new, intentional training system.
If your business is scaling quickly, don’t underestimate training. Systems matter. Scaling with excellence is tough — training makes it doable.
And yes, we did raise a glass at a quiet team dinner to cap off ten amazing years. A perfect end to a meaningful milestone.
Until next time,
Bill
